‎The wife of the Uyo Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Akaninyene Uwemedimo Udo, on Thursday visited Madam Comfort Okon Ekpenyong, the widow who was recently presented with a compassionate home in Nsukara Offot Community, as part of her continued commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.

‎During the visit, Mrs. Akaninyene personally delivered the relief items she had pledged during the handover ceremony, bringing comfort and encouragement to Madam Comfort.

‎In the same spirit of compassion, the Chairman's wife also visited Ms. Elizabeth Edem, who recently welcomed a set of triplets, presenting gifts to support the new mother and her family as they adjust to the responsibilities of caring for the newborns.

‎The visits reaffirm Mrs. Akaninyene Uwemedimo Udo's commitment to humanitarian service and improving the well-being of vulnerable individuals and families across Uyo Local Government Area.

‎Accompanying the Chairman's wife on the visits were the Vice Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council, Hon. Hon Christiana Bassey Essien; the Supervisor for Humanitarian Affairs, Ms Edoama Isaiah; the Supervisor for Health, Hon. Praise Otuekong; and the Women Development Officer, Mrs Enobong Akang.
