Youth leaders from Uyo and other local government areas in Akwa Ibom State participated in a sensitisation seminar organised by the Nigerian Army in Uyo in 2025 ahead of the 89 Regular Recruit Intake.
Representing Governor Pastor Umo Eno, ALGON Chairman, Dr Uwemedimo Udo, reaffirmed the State Government's commitment to youth empowerment and employment, noting that the initiative aligns with the ARISE Agenda's focus on creating opportunities for young people.
The seminar provided participants with information on the ongoing recruitment exercise, with Army officials urging youths to take advantage of the opportunity and warning that the application process is completely free.
The exercise was designed to address the low participation of Akwa Ibom youths in recent military recruitment drives and encourage greater involvement in national service and career development within the Nigerian Army.
